  1. Haha I used to lifeguard and can relate to the never-fading X on my back. And it’s been over 4 years…

  2. Hi Jackie. Thank you for wanting to follow my poetry adventures. I am part scot. work in a hospital theatre unit and use to be a paranormal investigator. Rather write about ghosts now. I am a sceptic but like being opened minded. You sound so nice and cool back to. I hope you continue to like what I write. Take Care The Foureyed Poet.

    • That is so cool! I actually just published my first novel which happens to be a ghost story!!! It’s called Cemetery Tours and it’s on Amazon and Kindle now! I love ghosts and I absolutely believe in them! I can’t wait to read more of your poetry! Cheers! 🙂

  3. Thank you for taking the time to ‘like’ my latest book review, and to follow my blog. Hopefully in the near future I’ll add a review of Cemetery Tours too, though it might be several weeks as I’ve got a bit of a back log in my reading list at the moment, but just had a read through the Kindle freebie pages, looks very promising indeed!
ps, excellent ‘About’ page,(despite reminding me I’ve not put too much effort into mine yet).

  5. This was a charmingly brilliant About page! I am glad your follow (thank you for that!!) led me to your blog. Your most recent post is filled with breathtaking beauty. What an eye! I can tell you also have a way with words too and look forward to delving in.
    take care,
    Stephanie

      • I had this discussion with a commenter on my blog entry just yesterday, that people are inquisitive when it comes to the arts. It’s something I’m used to… 🙂 I’m working on my YA novel at the moment. It’s the very first of my works that I will be seeing right through to the end.

No, I’m not on GoodReads at the moment. I’m relearning about the craft and the platforms that are good. Is GoodReads helpful, or should I be asking in what way? 🙂

      • That is so cool!! Keep up the great work! It’s the best feeling in the world when you can say that you wrote your book and that it’s actually out there.

I personally LOVE GoodReads, not only as an author, but as a reader as well. It’s kind of like Pinterest for books. You can go through and mark all the ones you want to read and review all the ones that you have read. I’d say as soon as your book is out, you should get one because it is a GREAT way to get the word out! 🙂

      • I’m a few chapters away from finishing my second manuscript, a sequel to Cemetery Tours. 🙂

It’s for readers as well as writers, but it’s really only helpful after you have a book to add. Before, it’s all for fun. Which isn’t a bad thing. But after your book is out, DEFINITELY! 🙂

      • By the way, Amazon recommends books to me, and guess what dropped into my inbox today? An email entitled, “Cemetery Tours”. Your book was the first on the list. How cool is that? I hope sales are going well.

      • YES!!! Thank you! Would it be too weird for me to ask you to screen-shot it and email it to me? (JackieSmith114@gmail.com). That is too cool!

Sales are not bad! I actually haven’t checked in a few days… haha! When I first published, I checked at least five times a day… now it’s every couple of days. 😛

  6. Hello Jackie,

Thanks for stopping by my blog, really appreciate it. I’m a newer author to, a “One Book Wonder” so far!…LOL.
My next 2 books should be out this Fall. Love reading your posts, and I’m a New Fan. 🙂

    Hugs! *Author Catherine Townsend-Lyon

    • Hi! I’m so happy to meet you and to have found your blog! I really enjoyed it! I always love connecting with fellow authors.

If you’d ever be interested in a review swap, let me know! I’m in the process of fine-tuning/re-uploading my files, but it shouldn’t take more than a day or so. 🙂

  7. Hi Jackie, I hope you’re well. I’ve tagged you in a Writing Process Blog Tour. There’s no obligation to take part if you don’t want; it’s just a fun way for writers to let others know about the way they work and so on. All the best 🙂
