A Very Haunted Weekend

Well friends, the Witching Hour is officially upon us!  All Hallows Eve is only days away!

As I think most of you know, I’ve basically been celebrating Halloween for two straight months now.  This weekend, however, I got to kick things up a notch or two with my closest and dearest friends. It began with a Girls’ Night on Friday.

We drank some wine,

Watched the single greatest Halloween movie of all time,

And carved pumpkins!

I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty proud of my Phoenix.

Before the night ended, my friends told me that they had an idea.  I have to admit, they are pretty spectacular.  I think I’ll keep them around.

The next night, I went with another of my best friends to Fort Worth for a Ghost Bus Tour.  Talk about a Halloween dream come true!

There was also wine.  It was basically perfect.

But absolutely nothing beats a visit to an old cabin village… Or possibly capturing a few unexplained light anomalies on camera.

To top it all off, I may have stumbled across a website that allows you to Halloween-ify yourself.

So yeah, that was my weekend.  How was yours?

Pictures and New Reviews

Hi, everyone!

I wanted to share the pictures from my session last week with outstanding DFW photographer, Kaylynn Krieg!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the shoot, and the one I’m using for all my accounts.  There’s a different one I love that I’ll be using for my picture in the back of the new book, but I’ll share that one later.  For now, I just wanted to post the link to Kaylynn’s website, not only to show off my pictures (I do like them a lot though!), but to let you see her other work.

You can also like her page on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/kaylynnkriegphotography

Her style is so beautiful, so soft and natural.  That’s what always drew me to her photographs and why I asked her to do my new head shots.

I’m also excited to announce that Cemetery Tours is up to 41 great reviews on Amazon!  I just need 9 more by July 1 to reach my goal!

Newest reviews include…

I’ve also recently posted a review for my friend, James William Peercy’s book, The Wall Outside.  You can find the review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/739981165

That’s all for now, I guess!  Back to work on Between Worlds!

Talk to y’all soon!

Oh Look, Another Monday

Hello friends, and welcome back to the real world.  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I took a day off from blogging yesterday and drove out for Fort Worth to visit my best friend whom I haven’t seen in over a month (not okay!).

Fort Worth is actually a really cool city, especially with the stockyards!  I even did a photography project in grad school featuring the stockyards.

In actual book-related news, Cemetery Tours 2 is officially less than four chapters away from being finished!  I think I’m going to email my cover designer either today or tomorrow to get his opinion on graphics.  I’m also thinking of asking a friend of mine to take some new professional photographs for me.  I’ve never really done a professional shoot before, and I think it might be fun and beneficial.

Finally, and this is exciting, Cemetery Tours has been selected for review by Book Viral!  http://www.bookviral.com

I’m not sure when it will be up, but I will definitely let you all know when it is!  I’m so thrilled!  All you new authors out there, reviews are SO IMPORTANT.  I can’t even tell you.

Anyway, this is going to be a short post because I’ve been under the weather today.  Fun, fun.  I think I’m just going to spend the rest of the day writing in my pajamas.

Which, you know, is probably what I’d be doing even if I wasn’t feeling sick, but whatever.
